ULTIMATE CAM CORES
Performance Research ProXtreme cam cores are the finest available in the performance aftermarket. This Bret Conway, 64 rockwell c, thru-hardened steel core design has led the way in Nextel Cup Racing Engines for the last three years. The ProXtreme core can be ground for a roller or flat tappet application eliminating the need for two different cores in most small block engines helping to insure we will always have the core you need. It also allows a greater number of lobe designs to be ground on the same core because there is no case hardened surface to grind thru. The reduction of torsional twist and increase stiffness make ultimate cam cores the best choice for predictable valve train dynamics. The thru-hardened reliability and increase wear insure long engine life and dependability. ProXtreme cam cores feature a precision machined and ground gear for accurate timing. Every ProXtreme cam we grind is micro-finished to help increase performance.

FLAT TAPPET LIFTERS
Performance Research ProXtreme flat tappets are the lifters most often chosen by top professional engine builders. They are thru hardened tool steel lifters with a DLC coating that allow flat tappet engines to reach 10,000 RPM. We have several designs in stock, but any product can be modified to fit your application. These lifters can also be run uncoated against iron cams for increased performance. Our featured flat tappet is an extended lifter that is one inch longer, which allows the engine builder to shorten the pushrod and increase the stiffness of the valve train.

FLAT TAPPET FLOATER NEW!!!
Performance Research ProXtreme flat tappet floaters are the future of flat tappet technology. The foot of this hydrostatic lifter is separate from the body and floats on a cushion of oil. As the lifter follows the cam lobe it is constantly increasing and decreasing rotational velocity. The decreased rotational inertia of the foot, floating free of the body, helps it maintain a surface speed closer to that of the cam. This helps reduce the wear on the foot of the lifter. When the foot can no longer be reworked it can be replaced and the DLC coated body can be used indefinitely.

ROLLER LIFTERS
Performance Research ProXtreme roller lifters feature a DLC coated shaft to eliminate the need for a roller bearing in the cam follower. In place of a roller bearing a hardened bronze bushing is used. A larger shaft can be used to increase the load bearing capacity of the lifter or a smaller roller can be used to optimize a cam profile. The lifter bodies are also DLC coated to increase the life of the lifter. The lifter is also made so that it can be rebuilt. Roller lifters are available in .875 , .935, 1.00, 1.035, and 1.060.

BALL ROLLER LIFTERS NEW!
Performance Research ProXtreme ball roller lifter is designed for the ultimate in performance and reliability. A spherical roller is suspended in oil. The body of the lifter is machined to match the diameter of a special ball roller allowing it to float freely. There is always 100% contact between the surface of the cam and the lifter because there is no shaft restricting the movement of the ball. Our .875diameter lifter with a .750 diameter ball will carry more load than a conventional roller with a half-inch diameter pin. A DLC coating is applied to the body of the lifter and the ball roller to allow it to move freely and not gall until oil pressure can build up. In addition to having a longer service life than conventional rollers this lifter can also be rebuilt. Roller lifters are available in .875 , .935, 1.00, 1.035, and 1.060.

VALVE SPRINGS
Performance Research ProXtreme springs are designed for your application. We can design a spring for your application or enhance the performance of a spring you already have. The life of a spring can be increased as much as ten times, depending on the application, by reprocessing and micro finishing. A longer lasting spring can keep you from losing horse power at the end of a long race or can give you time between runs in drag racing to concentrate on other things.

PUSHRODS
Performance Research ProXtreme pushrods are designed for stiffness and reliability. The thru-hardened inserted tips hold up to the higher spring loads and increased RPMs of the modern day race engine. We recommend the use of ProXtreme adjusters with our thru-hardened pushrod tips because they are designed to run against each other without galling.
